i write thread knowing full how comes up, , apologize. i'm irritated right , need objectivity calm me down:
plan until right has been wait redesigned macbook pros. have 2008 macbook (see signature), , i'm happy it. but, i'm using logic quite lot these days, , have been finding cpu in macbook rather weak handle dozens of plugins , tracks.
went through fun little recording session i'd damn overload error every 30 seconds. takes lost because cpu couldn't keep up. there sections of song flat-out can not playback right now. makes mixing easy, doesn't it?
there's benchmark out there tests how many tracks computer can run in logic. know fact current macbook pros can handle 3x as macbook can. seems logic benefits lot multiple cores , hyper threading. so, i've been looking upgrade quad core i7 15" macbook pro, current or redesigned:
reasons wanted wait redesign:
- increased gpu performance nice.
- usb 3.0. don't use now, don't want left behind if becomes standard.
- presumed lack of odd. don't need it.
- presumed increase in battery life. 7 hours great, more in fact more better.
- performance bump sandy ivy bridge make 10 or tracks before start overload errors. don't know if i'd push thing hard, it's reasonable assume eventually.
reasons want pull trigger now:
current 15" pro massive step have in terms of:
- cpu
- gpu
- battery life
- screen resolution , quality
- constant goram overload errors!!!
so... simple question: do?
get u cant stop complaining
