Why wont my m4v file play on my ipad?

does know why .m4v movie wont play on ipad? shows & opens on ipad in aceplayer , shows duration of film never starts. can move curser along various parts of film , time changes it's recognising time code.

i've tried changing .mp4 (without conversion) same. m4v plays in itunes , mp4 in quick time on mac file has downloaded ok.

i've copied across twice on off chance corrupt in transfer still same.

genuine movie downloaded itunes voucher code inside dvd box free mobile version.

can keep answer in layman's terms please. no technical jardon or abreviations otherwise wont understand it.

ps have pressed play lol. (and pressed again in case i'd paused it. lol lol)

 

if downloaded itunes store think movie has drm.
afaik 3rd-party video player app can't play drm video, need sync via itunes device.
