Virus/Worm issue?

i'm @ end of rope , i'm hoping can lead me in right direction.

macbook pro infected sort of virus or worm affects system in myriad of ways, first symptom internet browser (i've seen in both firefox , safari) cease remember passwords, won't allow me bookmark sites, , doesn't allow me access sites need password enter (e.g., gmail).

have erase/reinstalled more times can count , did quick drop @ apple store under impression hardware issue because techs couldn't find wrong software. logic board , hard drive replaced, still have same issues. although have not yet reinstalled ms word, has affected program drastically not allowing me save variety of reasons (not enough memory, can't find route/path, etc.).

have reinstalled using time machine , individually adding files, has affected machine after reinstall before i've brought external hard drive. currently, have kaspersky running, seems to, @ best, have slowed evolution of virus/worm. hasn't found malware, virus, or worm.

have looked everywhere , cannot find answer, i'm hoping sounds familiar reading this. other part of can think add suspect old malware (mid- '90s) brought university computer lab (through ms word), i've had constant issues since point variety of computers.

suggestions? apple employees know nothing of , refuse accept mac susceptible virus or worm.
