greetings , thank taking time read thread. have hope simple howto question.
have macbook running lion. using mini vga port connect external monitor. when close lid on macbook, switches on external monitor main screen. macbook not go sleep. use external keyboard , mouse.
looking same behavior on macbook pro. connected mini dvi port. have external mouse , keyboard connected it. understand can mirror desktops, done, resolution not great on external monitor. every time try accomplish on macbook pro, goes sleep. standard behavior when closing laptop.
can fool monitor. waiting few minutes , closing monitor. or putting usb drive macbook pro when goes sleep. can keep doing this, seems missing obvious.
as long connect magsafe charger , have external mouse , keyboard connected should looking
