have 1 large external hard drive , has ton of important data on it. getting afraid 1 day fail.
doing research in different options (like raid) found product called drobobox. base model runs $300 on amazon.
bit of mixed reviews (mostly positive) , of reviews old (2008). there better product this? should invest in or learn how proper raid setup?
simple , cheap ideal. if drobo easy , expandable leaning towards that.
thoughts? thanks!
got 4 bay drobo i've had couple of years time machine.completely satisfied it.it warned me drive fail , had time replace no problems.the thing if drive had failed data still safe.of course off-site storage way protected fire, theft, floods power surges etc,but protected local storage it's great.
hope helps.
