Safari cannot open OpenOffice document

i sent myself email openoffice file attached., thought might able open file in hotmail on new ipad. (i not know if new ipad 2 or 3...it gift , store hasn't opened yet.). got message told me safari not download file...through hotmail, assume.

so...do have download openoffice ipad first?

why safari not open oo doc file?

workaround doc open on ipad?

obvious mark or spec show vintage ipad have?

the ipad's ios not natively support openoffice file formats. viewer app called openreader can downloaded app store. not believe supports editing though.

openoffice.org not make ipad app far know , i'm not sure if of other office-type apps (quickoffice, etc.) support o files.

don't kow more .odf file format though.

ipad have - i'm not sure how can in possession of ipad , not know is. take @ box (the back, specifically).
