hi,
have picked mbp 2010 apple store, after having main logic board replaced. after having home few hours, have noticed keyboard lights no longer functioning. turning brightness f6 key, brings hud shows brightness bar going up, lights still off.
have tried go settings , turn off option says automatically illuminate keyboard in low light see if fixed issue, no success. have installed lab tick, still did not backlight functioning.
last thing tried smc reset. performed twice no avail.
have tried search forums alternative reasons why not working, cant find anything.
can advise me next step should be? try fix myself rather take apple store, hours drive away (last resort). have read there cable connects keyboard backlight, , become loose during maintenance. easy find / check ?
they've forgotten plug light cable in - it's pretty straightforward fix it's very tiny. take cover off , see if there's little ribbon cable hanging loose - it'll centimetre or 2 long , skinny - need plug it's plug.
