iPhoto - iPod Photo Cache

hi all,

photo library seemed larger should be, looked around "iphoto library" package in pictures folder. found ipod photo cache on 12 gb 16 gb photo library. have photos syncing ipod classic, if it's going mean losing disk space, can sacrifice that.

turned off photo syncing on ipod , deleted photos it, ipod cache folder still same size.

there way reset cache or safely delete ipod versions? don't want accidentally delete important application files in iphoto.
