hey forum,
i've been dealing issue long time waiting , waiting until can make apple store iphone replaced. however, figured maybe there out there similar problem , fixed sooner.
issue iphone 4 won't make sound @ all, minus alarms. attached 3 screenshots of screen shows in settings >> sounds. don't have picture of ring/vibrate switch doesn't matter. when flip switch, iphone doesn't @ all: no vibration going silent, no icon, no nothing. still vibrate thankfully, can feel calls, texts, emails, etc. weird thing, can still hear alarms. every morning wake me never sound when want else. can not hear youtube videos or ipod or recorded videos without headphones or external device.
symptom disappearance of volume bar altogether, shown in final screen shot.
theory iphone thinks plugged external device of sort.. car stereo or sound peripheral in general. also, qualm ideas of damage or anything, iphone in otter box defender , has been ever since purchase in july 2011. restores don't work either.
have thoughts/suggestions/questions?
