iPad won't turn on or charge

hi all, ipad little on year old, used of last year no problems, never had issue turning on or off or charging.

however, didn't use last couple months, it's been sitting in case.

yesterday went take out, didn't turn on plugged in wall charger, , no "charging" icon came on, screen never turned on. tried multiple cables, computer usb port, , verified on iphone wall charger works.

can't reset because... device never turns on @ all, screen stays black.

if battery dead, wouldn't still turn on while plugged wall? dock connector? never sustained damage or falls though, i'm wondering happened.

please if can!

 

plug in , leave on charger overnight super dead.
