iPad iPhoto share/email no extension?

hi all,

got first ipad last weekend. bought iphoto , synced lot of photos it. tried emailing photo both iphoto , photos app, testing things out see how things work. when email iphoto, leaves file name extension (.jpg) off attached file name. email on receiving side has attached photo, attachment named without .jpg extension. not case when same thing photos app. email arrives extension (.jpg) on attached file.

thoughts on why?

 

wish answer have same problem.

have fix? seems ridiculous iphoto can't email simple jpeg.
