hi, installed owc 120 gb ssd in 2006 macbook pro. awesome upgrade might add! professional dj, , download lot of music dj promo websites in addition monthly cds. before hard drive upgrade, had regular 100gb 5400 hdd, , 500 gb firewire external. replaced original internal , added secondary hard drive optibay kit.
have read writing/erasing lot on ssd's aren't healthy them, when download songs , music videos, goes directly onto ssd in downloads folder. there way can move downloads folder on secondary hard drive inside macbook pro? when download new music/videos/whatever else want download, go there instead?
concern if moved folder, break "automatically add itunes" link? use serato dj with, uses itunes database, simple transfer. before download onto internal , automatically add itunes, itunes library on external.
how go moving downloads folder over? or better off making new "downloads" folder on secondary drive?
how download music? not itunes or wouldn't worried syncing itunes 
depending on program i, or others may able give more directed help
programs have option of chaning downloads go to, around in preferences (and heres hint if didn't know pressing command+comma open preferences every mac program). change path somewhere on second harddrive. jsut easy.
