adding word custom dictionary simple 1 click affair - can problem if accidentally add bad spelling. have done , have looked high , low assumed simple way delete word custom dictionary. found , tried follow instructions @ http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/using-custom-dictionaries-in-word-2011-for-mac.html things did not happen described there.
say:
"in word, choose file→open."
no problem there except goes last folder using, went folder microsoft office 2012.
"select files enable pop-up menu."
did this.
"choose .dic file want use , click open".
file - did search on entire computer files extension ".dic" , found 2 (and two) looked promising called wordlist_chs.dic , wordlist.cht.dic
"click show button on word’s standard toolbar toggle on ability see paragraph marks if aren’t showing already".
here, got way ahead of me - when clicked open" using text edit got pages , pages of symbol gibberish no strings of normal english. maybe isn't custom dictionary. utterly lostand find hard believe there not much easier way of getting rid of bad entry in custom dictionary.
