Battery takes forever to charge

why new ipad take forever charge? has been on provided apple wall charger day , still not @ 100%. if ipad gonna take 24 hours charge don't want it. else having issue?

 

...what did start charging from?

still havnt seen definitive answer, battery has 70% might take 70% longer charge. still, not crazy slow.
