iSight Issue - Hardware or Software?

hi

seem have issue isight on 2009 macbook pro in 'disappears'. don't know under circumstances, i'm sparodic skype user , camera isn't available. when notice problem, it's no longer showing in system profiler or available photobooth etc

restart makes come back.

i've had local apple store @ it, cleaned , reseated connection. problem still present.

have 3 months of apple care left, if it's hardware can sorted. need laptop every day work (including weekends) , can't without it, if it's not going fix there's no point!

has else had problem? there way can log can identify circumstances in disappears?
