iPad retina display laminated without gap like 4S?

anyone know if retina display on new ipad same iphone 4/4s screen close touch screen glass , there's no gap visible there on ipad 1/2? think called laminated something-or-other?

haven't seen mention of yet it's 1 of things makes iphone retina great- it's you're touching icons.
