Couchpotato: cannot save my settings

hello guys,

i've downloaded couch potato , i'm thrilled start using it, impossible me save settings. when press save button following message:

error 500 internal server error
unexpected has happened.

unexpected is... can fix this? problem occurred more people?

appreciate help!

edit: maybe important additional information: when try start couchpotato message 'the application couchpotato can't opened. -1712', when type in 'http://localhost5000' in safari redirects me 'http://localhost:5000/movie/' , couchpotato launch... don't it!

Beachball, ram and page-outs...

hi all,
quick question.
purchased 2011 13" mbp i5. upped 8gb ram.

still fair amount of beach-balls, today.

apps open (*-being actively used);
finder
outlook*
safari*
chrome
firefox aurora
excel
word
little snapper
preview
nzb vortex* - uncompressing nzb file, 7gb.

had in activity monitor because l getting few beach balls see if l getting page outs far 17.4mb , counting (18.2+)....

ms office apps notorious ram hogs. page outs cumulative since last restart, best way check restart computer , track page outs under normal workload (the apps, browser pages , documents have open). if page outs significant (say 1gb or more) under normal use, may benefit more ram. if page outs 0 or low during normal use, won't see performance improvement adding ram.

mac os x: reading system memory usage in activity monitor

also, launch activity monitor , change "my processes" @ top "all processes", click on cpu column heading once or twice, arrow points downward (highest values on top). also, click on system memory tab @ bottom. take screen shot, scroll down see rest of list, take screen shot , post them.

Windows 7 made my MacBook Pro 10x times faster

ok, me person bit..ch!ng 24/7 how slow mac is.

beach ball every 20 seconds, in safari, mail, setting on , forth
20-30 seconds enter standby , on decade turn on

anyway, yesterday installed windows via bootcamp play games , test out intel hd 3000 performance. guess what? mac hasn't been more snappier!!

under 1 seconds stand by
app open in under 2-3 seconds

wtttff??? isn't supposed normal, on mac.


though hdd problem, os actually.


(note) have 20/270gb free space on mac os , 3/30gb free space on windows 7.

 

you should fresh re-install of osx see if faster. also, may ram issues osx. don't know how memory win 7 takes opposed lion.

Lion Privileges Problem

hello, have been looking @ various forums solution problem, none of seems work. therefore have created forum in hope know solution problem.

have problem on macbook pro lion , saving/deleting files. first of noticed when tried put file in trash, asked me password. asks me password when deleting file documents, desktop, pictures, music etc.

there strange details problem though. first of all, created textwrangler document , saved in documents. saved fine , able move trash without asking password. however, if edit textwrangler document created before problem , try save it, message saying "this operation couldn't completed, because error occurred" , "you not have sufficient privileges perform operation (macos error code: -5000)". though application not apple one, think under same problem.

here have done try , fix it. started changing "sharing & permissions" home folder, read , write set "apply enclosed items". tried disk utility on macintosh hd, repair disk permissions. did not work, verify disk permissions , verify disk tried. restarted pc , ran command + r menu, "resetpassword" typed in terminal. chose username , hard drive, clicked on reset home directory permissions , acls button, again on restart problem stayed.

have created new user account attempt fix it. account part success, part failure. example, if created new file , put in trash, not ask password. however, transferred files new user account old users shared folder, have dragged files in documents folder whenever deleting 1 still asks password

how fix this!? thing can think of reapply priveleges in new user account, maybe there way delete properties on files resets privileges?? don't know how possible.

1 other thing may help. use parallels desktop 7. other day trying save file using windows 7 virtual machine, failed due privileges guess part of same problem. this, safari has not been saving history or bookmarks add - although different, might same problem. however, on new account safari saves bookmarks , history fine.

 

i wondering if knows solution without reinstalling whole operating system. maybe has suggestion missed while completing steps above?

Mail app so slow in sync with GMAIL using IMAP ?

hello !

use mail 5.2 , lion 10.7.3 sync gmail account mail, using imap.
works fine, download rate surprisingly slow : 30kb/sec 150kb/sec, although never download under 800kb/sec...

there problem somewhere ?

how many folders , how data syncing? if have set sync takes longer negotiate delta changes , decide folders , data need updating.

4G Question......

hi everyone!

when got ipad 3 (verizon) set verizon 4g account, , got rolling. however, ipad defected on me, , gave me few dead pixels, , i'm planning on returning , getting new one. so, quick question. can pop out verizon sim , stick new one? if not, how go it?

yes. pop out , swap sim cards when exchange.
