MAS vs Developer website

i want purchase app , have choice of mac app store $5.50 or developer website $5.00. thought had read somewhere if apps mas have free updates life. true? if buy mas without second though never have buy new version again.

 

there's no guarantee of free updates life, developer release new version under different name (just add version number) , still have pay new version. however, have benefit of working on computers, while version developer's site may more (or less) restrictive. depends on developer offers.

SMS and MMS combining

help! have sms , mms messages combining , sending last person sending 1 too.
example: sent sms last night , in middle of day today sending 1 else. combined 1/2 of message last night (to totally different person) 1/2 of 1 typed , sent it. messages fine on end person getting message getting 2 smashed together. list phone number person other text too.

doesn't happen every 1 or time. happens when sending quite few in short amount of time.

suggestions?? causing problems due fact use personal phone business also.

what largest reasonable external single hard drive setup 2011 imac work with? put own using hard drive enclosure , large 4tb drive?

asking continue thinking ways data, movies, music, , photos. past couple of years have had distributed among several usb hard drives. new imac's 1 tb drive filling consolidate itunes , iphoto.
