Need Help. Upgraded RAM and Having Problems.

hey have late 2008 macbook pro 2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo upgraded lion 10.7.3 , couple years ago upgraded ram 2gb 4gb, supposed max. however, informed can hold 8gb. so, week ago installed 2 crucial 4gb sticks of ram , computer works fine. recognizes 8gb of ram, seems faster, but...after couple days, ding noise comes out of speakers every 10 minutes exactly. so, took casing off, took out , put in ram making sure in there properly, , not continue beep can't battery fit in way making impossible put bottom casing on. going put 4gb in in meantime, me out. or @ least tell me i'm idiot putting 8gb of ram computer can "technically" hold 4gb...

you need double check ram seated correctly. if installed properly, able battery in.

Adding Magnet Strip to back of iPad for Smart Cover?

hey guys,

ever put magnet strip on of ipad hold smart cover on well? i've been debating getting incipio smart feather case smart cover, noticed belkin cover has magnets on it.

did quick search on mcmaster carr , found magnets thin 1/32" strips adhesive backed. it's cheap enought make want try this. i'd put on case, option naked ipad peeps.

i wrong, don't think that's magnetized strip. example, on incase's mag snap cover, 2 strips steel magnet on smart cover sticks them.

Problems with Internet browsers..on my MacMini

hello ! ,

recently, browsers work poorly, if @ all, on macmini:

power pc g4
osx 10.3.9
safari 1.3.2
internet explorer 5.2

safari unexpectedly quits, internet explorer not display images of sites visited - others replaced question marks - , bring texts left of screen (as if there more layout) ...

annoying because computer installed in rented apartment, , customers can no longer use ... little urgent please!

 

try updating not 10 years old seriously, that's outdated technology that's due upgrade meet resembling current standards.

Risk of offering free wi-fi

i live in small town. few weeks ago got new modem built-in wireless router.

office next popular bar , grill. eating other day, noticed office wi-fi signal strong in there. before new modem didn't reach there.

anyway, offer open wi-fi if didn't pose unreasonable security risk of office network.

advice?

 

i don't see you're asking.

if don't want offer free wifi, use wpa2 decent password. if you're worried security (and should if use network business stuff), don't leave open.

if want provide free wifi customers, set separate network them , leave 1 open.

last week purchased beejive ipad2....
, seems crap wasted 10$
used facebook , gtalk only
whenever connect starts reconnect again , again....for fb , gtalk

using wifi 3g connection of aitel....

costliest , crap app ever found!!!

i not have reconnect problem. mine works quite good.

Macbook Airport/trackpad trouble

so, got macbook today

it's 4,1, late 2008 model. straight away stuck in 6gb of memory , 120gb ssd , baby flies...

have problem though: airport keeps dropping out. speeds flucuate lot, if i'm in front of computer between , router. i've reset smc , pram, , i'm running date copy of lion.

other problem button on trackpad doesn't click well, bottom half of doesn't press down @ all! tips there? i've ordered new top case it, still...

edit: also, know version of apple service diagnostic needed macbook? can't seem find out...

whilst on mains power, take battery out.

ps wireless networking uses microwave radio - microwave radio absorbed water. human body substantially water. d'you see going?

also, when change top case check antenna leads airport card attached ok.
