Should I leave 5.1 for now?

ok....i adopted lion early, , kind of wish hadn't.

didn't put ios 5 on ipod touch while, when did less responsive.

have iphone 4s (ios5) keeps wanting me put on 5.1 on but:

- i'm happy battery life , little concerned people have said it's made worse.

- can't see else in features want.

can give me compelling reason why shouldn't ignore fact 5.1 exists?

if you're type takes out iphone snap quick picture, 5.1 you. battery life, opinion 5.1 better 5.0.1. after full charge, 4s stay @ 100% quite long while under standby mode. well, every person has own opinion on battery lifespan.
siri in japanese? if you're keen in learning japanese or happen japanese, bonus.

iPhone 3GS Old Bootroom Cannot Restore

have 3gs old bottom jail broke , unlocked using ipad baseband on 5.0.1. shortly thereafter, phone deactivate , kept rebooting itself. not respond redsn0w. restored itunes 5.1 phone not activate at&t sim. thoughts?

restore down 4.1, jailbreak, reflash ipad baseband , install ultrasn0w unlock it.

Network Storage and Aperture issue

so had photos on external usb. running out of space, opted western digital book live network hard drive when decided go bigger.

have sort of regretted decision many reasons, 1 of issues having in aperture.

used "relocate masters" command in aperture move photos on network storage. this, btw did not work hot have liked (messed folder structure), not issue have. since did this, every time open aperture, cannot find reference files. have use "locate referenced files" command in order aperture link files can edit them.

volume available in finder. can access photos there no problem. when open "locate referenced files" window, on top part, left column lists volumes, volume photos on says "offline", below, can choose location of files, volume listed fine. can proceed choose location of photos , aperture works fine again.

if import files , have aperture put photos on nas, has no problem. it's when exit , open again seem loose connection.

have ideas going on? thanks.

 

happened me too

spent of weekend move masters synology diskstation. worked well. today, after being off network while, when reconnected masters offline although synology drive online.

updated 3.2.3 yesterday...

Passcode lockout glitch - heads up

got new ipad last night , until slapped on mag cover , closed it. locked out, though had not set passcode , old passcode had not migrated on else ipad 2. more tried, longer period of time ipad disabled. finally, found user online had similar problem. somehow, new ipad default outlook exchange password if don't set 1 before closing , locking new 'pad. never have thought of in million years, sure enough, after waiting disable period pass, entering exchange password (also nt login work) unlocked device , able set simple passcode.

posting heads in case else encounters this.

Lion: Linking Desktops to the Dock

i find helpful if dock provided someway of identifying open app linked desktop. eg number of desktop on dock icon. better, if desktop number highlighted desktop in. hope makes sense! there apps add feature?

guess looking have better idea of without swiping , forth between desktops.

way, prefer not lock app particular desktop seems result in more clicking of mouse.
