curious how others feel new 1080p offerings itunes compare bd's respect pq. grew tired of renting bd's netflix , instead have been watching (and enjoying) hd movies hbo , like. if bd's still have edge pq-wise apple offers, gap small enough less people care , people opt convenience of digital downloads versus physical discs?
digital downloads take on physicals discs until few things happen. think digital downloads supplement physical media great idea, not digital platform isn't ready take on yet.
1. bandwidth/hard drive size increase. bitrate on bluray disc higher itunes download 2. price - think big one. digital downloads cheaper physical releases. if going pay something, wouldn't rather have physically? 3. special features - digital downloads don't offer available on bluray disc. (commentaries, documentaries, trailers, etc.)
