i asked maybe year or ago. im within 10gb of being out of room on stock hard drive , need find replacement soon. can't decide between wd scorpio blue , seagate momentus xt. know 750gb has 6gbs sata connection mbp has 1.5 connection. so, im not sure if either of xt's worth money or if should stick wd sb. gladly accept recommendations other drives work well. thanks.
the seagate momentus's series of hdd's favorite , popular brand many here on macrumors. had 1 myself in 2006 mbp (2,2) , worked great. you're going limited speed of logic board hdd interface, you're going have overlook the potential loss of speed hdd.
western digital's tend create more problems seagate drives do, sms (sudden motion sensor) built laptops. if end getting wd , experience lockups, can try disabling sms.
