need, if there such thing, device can capture signal 200 feet away , deliver usb port on macbook dances os x 10.5.8 tune. if such contrivance exists, wont cheap buy it. surely kid of fifty or sixty or juvenile of forty, knows stuff , willing share such knowledge me.
first, hat's off you, both acquiring many years (i can hope same!) , staying interested/involved in technology! you're looking wireless network extender or repeater, can join existing wifi network , extend range. know equipment being used facility, has bearing on need buy. also, i'm not sure mean usb port, macbook has wireless antenna built in, has nothing usb port.
