Replacing DVD drive with another one

hello all,

wondering. macbook pro starting surely feel age (late 2008). since apple never wanted , warranty off anyways really love exchange internal dvd drive newer, better working one.

i'm pretty sure theres lot of people having issue of 2/3 of discs not start burning or getting spit out somewhere half way due poor (or shall cheap?) drives used apple. since won't read burned discs no more , display them empty , burnable... uck!

decided upgrade (instead of buying new one) mbp. far i've stuffed in additional ram along ssd drive , next step i'd exchange drive better one.

couldn't find smart or trustworthy on web, thought i'd ask here i'm pretty sure there's lot of people here know they're doing ;)

know there's possibility of getting external drives prefer inside travel lot it. if it's not possible guess it's time replace odd ssd :)

in advance people that'll take time answer.

cheers,

kd
