i replaced hard drive in mid-2010 macbook pro i5 750gb 7200 rpm hitachi hdd. have lot of hard drive space, thinking of making second partition final cut pro. install barebone mac os x lion on , not keep filevault on.
wondering if others have done , if there suggestions on how space set aside? i'd leave enough os , application run @ full performance.
footage i'd importing external drive connected via firewire 800. ideally i'd keep filevault 2 set-up external don't have worry losing , having sensitive footage gone. if mess performance lot i'll leave filevault 2 off on external.
bump. i'm thinking 100gb separate partition good?
