Mac Set-Up for Law School - Help!

hello everyone, love advice on following topic... starting law school in fall, , planning on getting new mac (or new mac set up) me through 3 years of ****. here's little bit me first guys can see i'm coming -

1. i've been using old school macbook past 4 years , enjoy it, although run out of space (lots of photos)
2. have external hard drive use (not mac brand, still compatible)
3. don't plan on gaming on desktop, , these computers used school work/ word processing/outlining/etc.
4. i'd have big screen can visually see me outlines , notes.
5. i'd lightweight carry me.

here options have come mac set up, let me know guys think -

op 1. macbookpro 13in thunderbolt = $2349 750gb storage

op 2. macbookair 11in/64gb imac (500gb) = $2200 500gb storage w/ 64gb flash

op 3. macbook air 11in/128gb imac (500gb) = $2400 500gb storage w/ 128gb flash

op 4. macbook air 11in/64gb imac (1tb) = $2500 1tb storage w/ 64gb flash

op 5. macbook air 11in/128gb imac (1tb) = $2700 1tb storage w/ 128gb flash

yes i'm nerdy , worked out... told i'm going law school!
anyways, dont know how of these machines respond eachother or talk eachother. basically, want easy possible synced , matched up, plan on bringing computer me every class, , if use bigger screen @ home studying/notes.

few questions -
air sync w/ imac automatically?
air "flash" faster macbook pro classroom on/off use? battery life longer?
how "flash storage" need on macbook air?

sorry such long post - i'd appreciate has on this. going convenience here!

i'd go different route
