i read fascinating book called unorthodox deborah feldman (bought amazon). life story - growing in hasidic jewish area in nyc until "escape" life of opression. scary people still live this. reading how family treated , other women, kept picturing them living decades ago jolted truth - happended within decade and, obviously, still continues today. highly recommended all.
