so i'm interested in adding ssd in addition 750gb momentus xt in 17" umbp. i'm still trying learn more , have been reading threads running opti-bay , speed coming optical drive. if run ssd boot drive there issues adding momentus xt in opti bay?
256gb crucial m4 @ $295 right on amazon , can grab $190 amazon gift card got trading old dvd's. , price wouldn't bad right?

there should not any. running os , apps on ssd home folder on hitachi 5400 in optibay. no issues , opens "right now" no lags. if go route, recommend owc's enclosure superdrive. use superdrive once a...well never, fits perfect , nice have if need it. remember disable apples "dvd player" auto starting, not work external burners. vlc/burn take care of needs.
