Ripping DVD's main movie without loss of quality

hey,

so, after deciding want create media centre view of dvd's on, researched , came across plex. seems cool , it's installed , set ready me import dvd's.

issue have getting dvd's disk mac!

process i've tried using
dvd rip in ripit , handbrake movie file itself, don't want dvd menu's , warnings etc.

ripit works fine, infact, dvd does. when @ verson of movie after handbrake, though quality same, colours washed out, , under contrasted.

why?!

can please tell me way of getting:

hard copy dvd collection onto computer/mac being main movie , no quality or audio loss, uncompressed if like.

edit - if @ all, i'm looking run through plex , play through 42" tv 5.1 surround sound in room. making sure it's supported in plex start!

i know how popular handbrake is, i've had bad luck it.... terrible artifacts (no matter presets or filters use), plus has strange limitations... @ least streamclip lets adjust brightness , color balance. also, converting 4 or 8gb maybe 1.4 gb seems foolish trade loss in quality. made sense years ago, not today storage cheap.

ripping, recommend mdrp or more powerful dvdremaster. both let rip main movie if wish. make sure select right settings, easy do.
