New iPad and iMessage issues

hi everybody, morning received first ipad (the new one). setting up, entered apple id (the same have on iphone), , seemed work but imessage.

when tried , send imessage contact has imessage on iphone, ipad says "this number/this mail isn't associated imessage".
wen "setting", turned imessage off , turned imessage on again see if worked way, has stuck point: enter apple id, shows mail (as receiver address), when select "next", refreshes , asks apple id again!

solutions? in advance.

 

i had same problem when did setup on new ipad. simple reboot resolved issue. it's totally cool seeing messages pop on both iphone , ipad @ same time.
