iPad 1 Power Adapter Question

i'm considering buying 1st gen ipad son online acquaintance. has smaller "cube" power adapter 1 iphone/ipod...not larger 10w adapter. swears , down cube adapter 1 came ipad (she purchased directly apple-original owner). find hard believe. thought generations of ipads came 10w adapter day 1. when @ ipad 1 refurbs sale on apple website, come 10w adapter.

question is: there ever time, perhaps on, original ipad came smaller cube adapter instead of 10w?

 

the ipad has shipped larger 10 watts charger.
