Drobo Dashboard reports different USED capacity than Finder...

hi, setting drobo backup.

know there lot of issues lion , time machine , i/o connections drobo. not question. nor question pertain way osx sees virtualized expandable drobo volume.

i've noticed drobo dashboard reports different amount of used space finder or disk utility does.

finder report looks correct amount. it's clone of drive, it's same amount small difference on head. drobo dashboard reporting less space used.

drobo set have 5.4tb of usable space. disk i'm copying has 5.3tb. finder , disk utility report source drive , drobo both have (approx) 5.3tb used, drobodashboard reports 4.8tb used.

have overhead? or drobo compressing/archiving in way saves space? if case, why wouldn't finder report same amount?

doesn't make less useful if drobo dashboard not report how free space have?

if @ drobo dashboard , "hey, i've got 500gb free, let me dump 300gb more on here," in reality there's 100gb of free space isn't going wreak havoc?

accurately reporting amount used space? drobo dashboard or finder/osx?

it's making me little nervous because i've read issues osx apps getting confused virtual volume , trying load drobo when there no more free space , killing drobo volume.

in advance
