i'm on verge of buying first ever imac, , considering getting amazon. price entry-level version w/ 21.5" screen appears cheaper, plus there's no tax which, of course, significant savings. specs same. realize return process might more complicated if defective machine but, @ point, i'm willing take risk. other drawbacks should aware of?
there's 1 issue has me confused. applecare protection plan (which we're thinking want) appears more expensive on amazon ($164 vs $119). know why be? can buy computer hardware on amazon , protection plan separately elsewhere?

applecare can purchased elsewhere until day 365 of purchasing machine.
perhaps you're looking @ applecare protection macbook air or macbook pro?
these tend more expensive imac applecare. anyway have year purchase either @ amazon or elsewhere.
