Any Australians with iPad 4G and telstra pre paid?

out there can confirm can enable personal hotspot?

hi guys purchased new ipad , got telstra pre paid sim, thing can not find slider in settings>general>network switches on personal hotspot.

have tried.

• factory restore , without sim ( no personal hotspot icon)
• restore on old ipad, still no personal hotspot icon.
• called telstra tech support twice got 2 differing opinions.
  1. ipad thing, put through apple.
  2. personal hotspot not supported in new ipad. (not true)
• called applecare, ran through whole restroe , restore thing again. still no personal hotspot. dont know , asked me try different sim. next week.

tried bar new sim of now. thought ask if has same set , has hotspot working on telstra 3g.

ipad 3rd gen 16g wifi , 4g or 3g in aus.

 

telstra staff either lied or don't know how use ipad(more likely)

personal hotspot function disabled carriers in australia, has nothing apple. go gizmodo australia, there thread tells how enable it. did it, , personal hotspot option appeared under apn setting, when tried configure it, said contact optus(im optus)

call telstra , let them transfer technical department if idiot doesnt know about.
