Advice needed please

1st of all, sry if i'm posting on wrong section...

now... question...

advice/opinion on following:

current "mobile" setup 2009 15" macbook pro, it's time update bit. putting useful (upgrading mobile setup) "good" (my mom 72 years young wants learn how use computer can communicate me , sisters in easier way, so, since browsing sites, using skype , mail, give macbook pro instead of spending lot of money on new machine).

hat said, , since don't need "power" on move (got equipped mac pro @ home heavy lifting) i'm leaning towards macbook air.

setup i've chosen @ point following:

macbook air 11"
intel core i7 dual-core @ 1.8ghz
128gb ssd drive
ethernet adaptor (have since work not use wireless connections due security issues)
superdrive

"extras", other it's standard setup (4gb ram, hd 3000 graphics card, , on...)

big question is:

-> "safe" buy or should wait bit further hardware upgrades?

can postpone buying 3 months, @ best i'll buy in mid april.

know if want machine more "muscle" can go macbook pro, since don't rly need "muscle", question here more based on fact tick me off if bought today , next month base memory have been doubled or graphics card have been upgraded...

anyways, , opinions/advice/help appreciated.

if need now, buy

next round of intel's cpu updates not due until april-may-june anyways........

graphics in air pretty good, doubt if huge upgrades while yet, , memory dirt cheap right now, wouldn't make issue @ point either.
