wife , smell fumes , breathe in smoke many chimneys spewing smoke in our neighborhood. communities regulate wood stoves, requiring catalytic converters or limiting use. our community not.

i'm curious. government intrusion on our freedom? community regulate wood burning in way? welcome such restriction? or see sign of big brother running life?

or when come fireplace?

 

my area largely rural , surrounded temperate rainforest there large amount of wood burning stoves , fireplaces. of nearby (2 km or so) places have restrictions not here. frequented power outages in winter , have large elderly population see of necessary evil. have gas line next wood stove swap out 1 stove another. on high-pressure, low-wind winter's day air can become heavy smoke.
