Resolved Mac pro devices

im new macs , today noticed when installed google chrome , updating java after open install file places file under "devices" why this? , should delete file or eject , thats it? i've googled hours , cannot find info. know if thats normal , reason this. don't want have bunch of install files floating around taking memory.
