like title says, when open multiple tabs @ once safari hangs network. maybe 2 of tabs loaded others stopped in middle...

how , how fast load depend on several factors, including internet connection speed , sites themselves. routinely open 20+ tabs @ time on safari, no problems. sites take longer load others. try resetting safari, clearing cache , cookies. check ad-blockers, plug-ins or extensions may interfering.
while you're @ it, security, make sure in safari > preferences > general have unchecked "open "safe" files after downloading"
in safari > preferences > security, uncheck "enable java" (javascript ok).
