MKV to MP4 for AppleTV

if have 1080p mkv file, quickest way turn mp4/m4v file playback on appletv2/3? ie no reconverting, turning mp4 "as is".

believe there few tools (on mac), looking suggestions etc.

 

mp4tools looking (as long mkv contains h264/x264 video)
