Bought MBP from craiglist anyway to transfer iLife to other drive?

hi,

bought used mbp off of craigslist has ilife 11 on it. current hard drive bigger 1 in new machine going drop current drive in new machine, new ilife. there anyway transfer programs?

when go onto mac app store on new computer asks if want redeem ilife apps can updates, associated previous owners itunes account, can't redownload them.

copy programs applications folder other hard drive? updates?

thoughts appreciated.

 

unless previous owner gave ilife dvd or apple id don't own software.

should format drive , re-install os x.
