Weird Networking Issue. Any thoughts?

i had weird happen little while ago. lost network connection 1 our pc's mac. still see other pc , other mac power cycled router , switch. didn't went , rebooted pc. cool there, mac pro, can't g5 finder. however, g5, can mac pro. why work? thoughts on how work without rebooting either of macs?
