SmartCover Stability

i'm considering upgrading ipad 1 used ipad 2 after 3's flood market. use ipad 1 while on couch. love ability type @ full speed on keyboard , find works best when use case keep @ 45 degree angle in front of me. case i'm using 1 folds ----> /\ ipad entirely supported entirely 1 side of case.

if upgrade ipad 2, simplicity of smart cover. when using on table have no doubt position smartcover raise top shows in ads, smart cover able support weight if position folded smart cover @ bottom of ipad , keep @ 45 degree angle?

with smart cover on stand straight, 70 degrees. on hard surface though
