i got 1 of these general archive open pro tools or logic project directly it. however, both programs report 'cannot audio fast enough' , suggest firewire (800) congestion or similar. whilst playing single stereo track! error occurs every 10mins or of light editing.
emailed hitachi aid while drive intended archive should capable of playing such small amount of audio , did not have solution issue.
problem exists drive , not other, older, supposedly slower drives (fw400 example)
