Problem w. 13" Macbook Pro at start-up: Help Please!

my macbook pro 13" starts-up fine, once it's on, touchpad , keyboard don't work. have force shut down, start again , it's fine.

have connected 23" apple monitor w. usb apple keyboard , bluetooth apple mouse. no functionality keyboard. bluetooth mouse appears can't click on anything. dock won't pop either. strange.

i try pram , smc reset if has not been done already. also, try repairing permissions.
