Thunderbolt & iMovie display issue - help needed...
i went apple store yesterday macbook pro test thunderbolt display.
store assistant attempted demonstrate me (i attempted!), couldn't working. basically, when connected mbp display thunderbolt cable, worked extent, wouldn't....
- fill full resolution of thunderbolt display (2560 1440 pixels) in mirror mode - graphics card meant support external displays 2560 1600 according - http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/specs.html
- wouldn't work when closed lid. tbd went blank.
tried on 2 different thunderbolt displays. mbp has updates required far i'm aware.
can suggest might have been doing wrong? macbook pro need connected power outlet work thunderbolt display correctly?
end of hour in shop shop assistant suggested may problem graphics card? can't decide whether he's right or didn't know doing!
also, since then, when open imovie on mbp, bar @ top of screen (the 1 says program have open) says imovie open, not display actual workspace itself. when click on mission control imovie workspace appears, minimises again when click out of mission control.
great. that's last time let apple store assistant muck around computer!
