App to allow 4s to use old charging accessories?

doesn't apple make phones can't use old accessories have buy new ones on again? had car charger use on iphone 4 of course doesn't work on 4s. i've heard it's software workaround , there app use fix it. know if true , app might called?

 

i hate fact old accessories don't work each other. sucks. don't think there app can download , fix this. it's more tweak app. guessing problem pin in phone or cable.
