itunes won't load on new ipad

i click on icon on home screen , screen pops chasing circle , says "loading..." never anything.

can open app store , have itunes loaded on computer. can sync it, app won't open.

first apple product. missing simple?

 

i'm having problem too, spins forever in itunes , nothing happens. got ideas?
