hi all,
firstly hope i've posted in correct location, i'm new forum, , technology i'm surrounding myself with.
brought samsung 3dtv, connected macbook pro via vga, worked fine, new tv have dodgy hdmi's , screen issue, new replacement delivered next week.
macbook pro bought in 2008, yes 4 years ago, did start slowing down , playing around. so, macbook not top of line, many fancy connctions, oppostie obviously. dvi - vga work , continues so.
imac brought couple of weeks ago, more up-to-date, still don't know connections @ back, i'm impressed.
last night, due failure of hdmi's decided connect macbook sony tv. simple task turned in hours of touture, not quite pretty horrific.
went way knew has worked , should work. dvi - vga.
connected adapter macbook 1 end of vga lead, other end in tv. connected audio cable. same way have done years, on 6 year old lg lcd tv. , still nothing. (this way works on broken samsung tv)
pc output on sony grayed out, , continued stay way... night. frustrating!
decided try old windows laptop, again nothing.
tried imac, hdmi - hdmi, again nothing!
spoke technician store of purchase, said.... worked on samsung tv 'smart' tv, , make work downloading free app called... airplay.
find odd i've said, 6 year old lg nothing-of-a-tv lcd worked via dvi (on 4 year old macbook) vga cable, through , in tv, using audio cable, bet life if connct again right moment, work.
samsung tv broken, yet same cable , macbook still works.
tried different cables, still no joy. i'm guessing it's settings issue of sort, or more intimidating. have absolutely no idea, recieved please speak slow![]()
many all. x
so...why complaining macbook...especially in topic title...when has nothing of computers, tv?
sorry, fail see reason posting this/ you've confirmed tv defective, , yet you're posting tribulations when attempting connect computer defective tv?
did think going happen if tv defective, why bother attempting connect things it?
