New Ipad, did they double touch sensor resolution too?

all hear the ipad doubled resolution , has 4x pixels. that's great (i want 1 badly), have idly curious question: did double resolution of touch sensor? if no 1 knows, there way me find out?

assume did not, nothing has changed on users side (unless evolution has accelerated) , ipad multitouch sensors best i'e used. wondering if doubling sensor grid allow finer stylus design (more actual styli instead of crayons).

wonder if disconnect display / input resolutions may headache developers doing custom ui or interactivity , want fine detail. drawing or notetaking programs especially.
