Losing sms tone and notifications alerts?

randomly don't hear text messages, no sound. fix have turn phone off , on, earphone use have somethin this?

 

if earphones plugged in, notification sound sent ear phones. when not in, go through main speaker.

when don't hear it, earbuds plugged in?

also, sure notification sounds set correctly in settings > sounds.
